Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial important honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
